(COLOMBO) – A total of 519 complaints related to the upcoming Presidential election in Sri Lanka have been received by the Election Commission as of Saturday evening.
The Commission said that the complaints were received during the period from July 31 to August 16.
They said that 62 complaints reported just yesterday (16) were related to violations of election laws.
Out of the 519 complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 306, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 213.
All complaints were categorized as breaches of laws, with one incident of violence being reported, according to officialsm.
