Entrepreneur and presidential candidate, Dilith Jayaweera, has confirmed his participation in the upcoming debate organized by the March 12 Movement, aimed at providing a platform for candidates to present and discuss their policies.
Mr. Danindu Withanavasam, the official media spokesperson for Jayaweera, communicated this decision in a written statement to the People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL), the organization overseeing the debate.
In the statement, Jayaweera’s campaign, under the ‘Sarvajana Praha’ alliance, expressed confidence that the debate would offer a unique and valuable opportunity for Sri Lankan voters. It is expected to showcase an in-depth discussion on the various policies each candidate intends to implement if elected to the presidency.
This debate is anticipated to be a significant event in the lead-up to the presidential election, providing voters with a clearer understanding of the visions and strategies of those vying for the nation’s highest office.
