An US warship arrived at Sri Lanka’s central Colombo Port, the third to dock in the island nation since August, officials said.
They said the USS Stockdale of the United States Navy arrived at the port of Colombo on a replenishment visit.
The Sri Lanka Navy warmly welcomed the ship upon its arrival.
USS Stockdale, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer stretching 155.3 metres in length, is operated by a crew of 332 personnel. The ship is under the command of Commander Lauren Johnson.
Following the completion of replenishments, she is scheduled to depart the island on 23 August.
This is the third US Navy ship to arrive in Colombo this month.
USS Spruance and USS Okane of the United States Navy also arrived at the port of Colombo this week on a replenishment visit.
