State Minister for Finance, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, has announced that comprehensive information about taxes will be disclosed to the public tomorrow, August 26. This move comes as part of the government’s efforts to enhance state revenue through the collection of overdue taxes.
Minister Siyambalapitiya highlighted that significant progress has been made in addressing tax arrears. Approximately 900 bank accounts have been frozen to facilitate the recovery of outstanding taxes, and additional measures are being implemented to ensure the collection of these arrears.
In a statement, the minister assured that all tax-related details, including the results of recent collections and future plans, will be fully disclosed to the media tomorrow. This announcement aims to provide transparency and update the public on the current state of tax revenues and enforcement actions.
