(COLOMBO) – A fresh number of 118 more complaints related to the upcoming Presidential election have been received by the Election Commission in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of complaints to 1,347.
The Commission said that the complaints were received during the period from July 31 to August 28.
Out of the 1,347 complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 561, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 786.
All complaints were categorised as breaches of laws, with six incidents of violence being reported.
