Agricultural policies were also addressed, with Premadasa committing to set the price of a 50-kilogram bag of fertilizer at Rs. 5,000 and to write off all existing agricultural loans.
Additionally, Premadasa emphasized his plans to create job opportunities for the youth, including unemployed graduates, through a comprehensive employment program. He also announced the construction of seven manufacturing factories across various electoral districts in the Anuradhapura region, aiming to stimulate local economies and create jobs.
Premadasa concluded his address by expressing his dedication to the welfare of all Sri Lankans, framing the nation’s challenges as personal issues that he is committed to resolving. He reassured the public of his commitment to improving their livelihoods and reinforcing the country’s economic stability.
