State Minister Arundika Fernando has raised concerns that the United National Party (UNP) is not providing sufficient support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s election campaign. According to Fernando, the level of backing expected from Sirikotha, the UNP’s headquarters, has fallen short, sparking suspicions of a possible internal conspiracy against the President.
He emphasized that the campaign cannot be sustained solely by the support from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and stressed the importance of the UNP stepping up its involvement. Fernando voiced these concerns during a discussion on an online platform.
