The Constitutional Council has unanimously elected retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Jayantha Jayasinghe to the National Police Commission. Following this decision, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has officially confirmed the appointment.
Retired DIG Jayasinghe, who is currently employed as a security consultant at Cinnamon Grand, a property owned by John Keels Holdings Group, will now join the National Police Commission.
