September 9, 2024 – Ayagama – In a recent rally for his presidential campaign, Dilith Jayaweera, the candidate from the Sarvajana Party, emphasized the critical importance of making informed decisions in the upcoming presidential election. The rally, part of Jayaweera’s ‘Dilith Village’ series, was held in front of Ayagama Satipola and attracted significant local attention.
During his address, Jayaweera expressed deep concerns about the current state of the country and the potential repercussions of the forthcoming election. He warned that failing to choose wisely could result in “an irreparable mistake” for the current generation. Jayaweera underscored the gravity of the situation, stating, “It is very clear that the territorial integrity of our country is under threat. They often say that civilization and culture in this country are inexhaustible, implying that we lack culture. While it’s true that a small percentage of people may lack civilization, imposing this perception on the remaining majority should be carefully scrutinized by patriotic citizens.”
Jayaweera also criticized the current political climate, suggesting that there is a concerted effort by all major parties to betray the nation. He metaphorically referred to this betrayal as being documented in “three books,” implying that the agreements or actions leading to this situation are well-documented and clear.
His comments reflect a broader concern about the nation’s future, emphasizing the need for careful consideration and patriotic vigilance in the face of potential threats. Jayaweera’s rally aimed to galvanize support by highlighting these urgent issues and encouraging voters to make decisions that safeguard the country’s integrity and future.
