Samagi Jana Balavega’s presidential candidate, Sajith Premadasa, has declared that he has never supported the political factions responsible for Sri Lanka’s economic downfall. Speaking at a public rally in Kirulapana, Premadasa highlighted that despite attempts by opposition parties to conspire against his campaign, their efforts will ultimately fail.
“Today, the sole objective of this political duo is to prevent my victory,” Premadasa remarked, referring to his rivals. “They are plotting every possible conspiracy to stop me. But remember, both of them were part of the former cabinets that led to this crisis. They sat alongside Mr. Rajapaksa in the government. I, Sajith Premadasa, never collaborated with those who bankrupted this country.”
Premadasa’s message was clear: “We stand for the people, not for those who ruined the nation. On the 21st, I urge you to lead the way for a progressive turning point in this country’s future.”
He urged the public to choose wisely, emphasizing his position as a candidate who has consistently stood apart from the political factions responsible for the country’s financial woes.
