Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate for the National People’s Power, has expressed his commitment to transforming Sri Lanka into a wealthier and more prosperous nation. Speaking at a rally in Monaragala on September 13, Dissanayake outlined his vision for elevating the lives of Sri Lankans and building a stronger country.
“We are not claiming to perform miracles or to be magicians,” Dissanayake stated. “But we have a deep desire to make this country richer and improve the quality of life for its people. We are determined to fight for this cause.”
He emphasized that his campaign has a well-developed plan and a team of dedicated individuals ready to implement it. “We are working to establish a decisive government that focuses on nation-building and improving the lives of the people,” he said. “We are not interested in counting chairs or taking over the property of those who have stolen.”
Dissanayake’s remarks reflect his ambition to lead a government that prioritizes economic and social development, promising a future of prosperity and integrity.
