Galle, Sri Lanka – Chandima Virakkodi, Member of Parliament, has announced that if Sajith Premadasa wins the presidential election, halted development projects will be swiftly resumed. Speaking at a public meeting in Galle Habaraduwa, Virakkodi outlined the immediate plans for revitalizing development efforts.
Virakkodi emphasized that Premadasa’s administration will prioritize restarting the development activities that were previously interrupted. Among the key initiatives is the transformation of Habaraduwa into a prominent tourist town. Plans are already in place, in collaboration with the tourism board, to establish a high-end tourist resort and enhance the tourism appeal around Koggala.
Additionally, Virakkodi highlighted that Ahangama and Kamalana have already gained recognition as leading tourist destinations, and further development will commence after the 21st. Galle city will also undergo planned development to boost its status as a key tourist and economic hub.
