Independent presidential candidate Ranil Wickremesinghe has assured that the hardships faced by Sri Lankans will ease in the coming year. Speaking at the “Puluwan Sri Lanka” public rally held in Kegalle on the 14th, Wickremesinghe highlighted the steps his government has taken to address the cost of living and provide relief.
“We are systematically working to lighten the burden of people’s lives. We have implemented programs such as providing relief during the last season and offering fertilizer subsidies. Retirement and elderly allowances have been increased. We are working on both reducing the prices of goods and giving financial assistance to alleviate the burden on people’s lives,” Wickremesinghe stated.
He confidently expressed that by next year, citizens will experience a significant reduction in their daily struggles.
