The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has announced a treasury bond auction scheduled for Wednesday, the 18th, with a total issuance of Rs. 29,000 crore.
During the previous bond auction on the 12th, bids amounted to Rs. 17,875.1 crore for the Rs. 10,000 crore issuance, maturing on 15 February 2028. Additionally, Rs. 34,568.7 crore was received for Rs. 150,000 crore, maturing on 15 June 2029. For bonds maturing on 15 September 2034, Rs. 8,078 crore was received against a Rs. 4,000 crore issuance.
The Central Bank has set an interest rate of 10.75% for bonds maturing in February 2028 and 11.75% for those maturing in June 2029.
