Colombo, September 22 – Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabry and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Harsha de Silva have extended their congratulations to National People’s Power (NPP) presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake, acknowledging his victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.
In a gesture of democratic acceptance, both Sabry and de Silva took to social media to offer their best wishes to Dissanayake, while gracefully accepting their respective defeats.
Sabry, who was a key figure in President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s administration, reiterated his pride in having served under Wickremesinghe’s leadership during a time of significant crisis, but expressed confidence in Dissanayake’s ability to steer the country forward.
