Colombo, September 25, 2024 – President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held a detailed discussion with Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe on the current state of Sri Lanka’s economy. The meeting took place yesterday afternoon at the Presidential Secretariat.
Joining the discussion was the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Mahinda Siriwardena. The talks centered around the country’s ongoing economic challenges and potential measures to stabilize the economy.
According to the Government Information Department, the discussions covered a broad range of pressing economic issues, with a focus on finding solutions to improve the country’s financial situation in the near term.
