Colombo – In a move to provide relief to citizens, Litro Gas Lanka Company has announced that there will be no increase in gas prices for the month of October, despite a global rise in prices. This decision comes as Saudi Aramco, Litro’s contracted supplier, raised the price of a metric ton of gas by $33 for October.
Despite the global hike, the government and Litro Gas Lanka have opted not to pass on these increased costs to consumers, keeping gas prices unchanged from the previous month. This decision showcases the government’s efforts to shield the public from rising international costs, maintaining stability in household expenses amid fluctuating global energy prices.
The decision is seen as part of the government’s broader strategy to manage the cost of living and provide consistent relief to the public.
