Several hotels in Sri Lanka have been recognized among the top destinations in the “Best of Asia” category in awards conducted by Condé Nast Traveller Magazine, based on votes from UK readers. Notably, Ceylon Tea Trails secured first place in the resort category, while other top-tier Sri Lankan hotels also received accolades.
Ceylon Tea Trails was awarded the top spot in the resort category, beating out renowned resorts in countries such as Vietnam, India, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Heritance Ahungalla also made the list, securing 10th place. Resorts in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Indian Ocean, including the Maldives, were judged separately, with Heritance Aarah coming in 20th in the Indian Ocean category.
In the hotel category for the “Best of Asia,” Sri Lanka’s Galle Face Hotel won first place, followed closely by Aditya Galle in second, Amangalla in third, Heritance Tea Factory in fourth, and Fort Bazaar rounding out the top five. Hotels in Singapore and Southeast Asia were placed in a separate category.
This recognition underscores Sri Lanka’s prominence as a top travel destination in the region, with its luxurious resorts and hotels offering unique experiences that captivate international visitors.
