The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka has reported that 32 Sri Lankans have sought refuge at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon due to the ongoing military conflict in the region. The embassy has provided necessary support and facilities to these individuals.
The ministry confirmed that it is in constant communication with the Sri Lankans residing in Lebanon and reiterated that no Sri Lankans have been directly affected by the war.
Additionally, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel has stated that flights from Sri Lanka to Israel continue to operate as usual. Flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Israel, which were temporarily suspended due to attacks by Iran, resumed operations on October 4. The Embassy of Israel in Sri Lanka has advised travelers to verify flight operations with relevant departments before heading to the airport.
