Minister Vijitha Herath announced today that the government has initiated an investigation into the alleged disappearance of pages from the Presidential Special Commission report regarding the Easter Sunday bombings.
During a press conference to announce Cabinet decisions, Minister Herath stated that the investigation aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding the missing pages. “The facts of those investigations will be revealed soon,” he assured the public.
He further explained that the inquiry will seek to determine not only how the pages went missing but also whether all the pages were included in the report submitted to the President. This development comes amid ongoing scrutiny of the findings related to the tragic events of April 21, 2019.
