The Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious, Cultural Affairs, National Integration, Social Security, and Mass Media has temporarily suspended the State Literary Award Ceremony and the State Children’s Drama Festival in compliance with directives from the Election Commission, ahead of the upcoming general election. This precautionary measure is part of the efforts to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
Originally, the State Literary Award Ceremony was set to take place on October 14, while the State Children’s Drama Festival was scheduled for November 9. In light of the suspension, the ministry has assured that they will announce new dates for both events once the electoral period concludes.
The decision reflects the government’s commitment to uphold democratic principles during the election season, emphasizing the need to prevent any activities that could be perceived as politically biased or potentially influence the electorate.
