Former Minister Johnston Fernando was unable to attend court proceedings due to health issues. The case concerns allegations that he misused thirty-nine employees from Sathosa for political and personal purposes during his tenure as Trade Minister in the previous government.
During the hearing at the Colombo High Court, Fernando’s defense lawyer presented a medical report to substantiate his client’s absence. The court is set to continue its proceedings in light of this situation.
