Arjuna Aloysius, who is currently serving a six-month sentence in Welikada Prison, has begun to acclimate to his new environment by joining the prison’s sewing party. Reports indicate that Aloysius is housed among the general inmate population and is now wearing the standard jumper issued to prisoners.
Due to prison regulations prohibiting outside food, Aloysius has been consuming the same meals as his fellow inmates, specifically cauldron rice, which is commonly served in the facility.
Under the prison’s guidelines, Aloysius is permitted to meet with family members once a month, providing him some opportunity for familial connection during his incarceration. As he navigates life behind bars, Aloysius’s adaptation to prison routines reflects the realities faced by many who are incarcerated.
