The media unit of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has issued a statement addressing recent reports from the Government Information Department concerning official vehicles used for his security. The statement clarifies that the information provided about the vehicles allegedly in Mr. Rajapaksa’s custody is inaccurate.
According to the announcement, arrangements have been made to return three out of the six official vehicles designated for Mr. Rajapaksa’s security. This decision follows written instructions from the Presidential Secretariat, with the handover scheduled for Monday, the 21st.
