The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the awarding of a contract to OQ Trading Limited for supplying Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to Litro Gas Company for 2025. This decision was announced at a Cabinet press briefing today by Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Vijith Herath.
Minister Herath explained that the contract followed a single-stage, double-lot system under international competitive bidding. Among the suppliers, OQ Trading Limited and Siam Gas Trading Pte Ltd submitted bids, though the bid from Siam Gas Trading was later rejected.
Following evaluations by the Technical Appraisal Committee and the Standing Procurement Committee, both appointed by the Cabinet, OQ Trading Limited was recommended and subsequently selected as the most responsive bidder to meet the LPG supply needs for Litro Gas Company in 2025.
