Sri Lanka’s Olympic Referee and Judge, Nelka Shiromala Thampu, was honored as the best referee and judge at the event
Although Sri Lanka has yet to join as a member, World Boxing, which adheres strictly to the Olympic Charter, commendably accepted applications from individuals in non-World Boxing member countries as technical officials to uphold transparency, fairness and impartiality in the sport. Sri Lanka’s Olympic Referee and Judge, Nelka Shiromala Thampu, was honored as the best referee and judge at the event, with experienced Canadian official Jennifer Huggins taking second place.
