Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has moved up to the second position in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings for bowlers, following his impressive performance against New Zealand in their recent T20 match.
Hasaranga’s performance in the T20 match saw him rise by four spots in the rankings. The top position in the T20I bowlers’ list is still held by England’s Adil Rashid.
In the same rankings, Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana has secured the fourth position among T20I bowlers, further highlighting Sri Lanka’s strong spin attack in the format.
Additionally, in the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, Hasaranga occupies the 10th spot among bowlers, while Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka is ranked 8th in the ODI batting rankings.
Hasaranga’s rise in rankings is a testament to his growing reputation as one of the top spin bowlers in world cricket, particularly in the shorter formats.
