The novel, translated into Sinhalese as Guru Geeta by Dedigama V. Rodrigu, explores the profound themes of educational transformation and the social changes that occurred during the early years of the Russian Revolution.
Minister Lal Kantha mentioned that he cried ten to fifteen times throughout the screening, indicating how deeply the story impacted him. He expressed his admiration for the novel’s depiction of the educational revolution, noting that such historical narratives can profoundly affect viewers, bringing awareness to the importance of education in times of societal upheaval.
