Toyota Lanka has reported receiving an impressive 10,000 pre-orders for vehicles, as stated by the company’s Senior General Manager, Prasanna de Silva. This surge in pre-orders follows the announcement of Toyota Lanka’s vehicle import plan for the year 2025.
De Silva emphasized that all the vehicles included in the pre-orders are brand new imports. He further clarified that Toyota Lanka also has a separate strategy in place to import used vehicles from Japan at a later stage, expanding their offerings in the market.
The first batch of vehicles, specifically allocated for the tourism sector, has already arrived in Sri Lanka. These vehicles will be distributed to the designated customers in due course. De Silva mentioned that another shipment of vehicles is expected to arrive in the coming days to meet the growing demand.
The pre-orders are a significant indicator of the strong demand for Toyota vehicles in Sri Lanka, with the company anticipating a successful year ahead with the influx of new stock, catering to both the local consumer and tourism industries. The move to import new and used vehicles aligns with the company’s commitment to providing a diverse range of vehicles to meet the various needs of Sri Lankan customers.
