The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) maintained its upward momentum on Thursday, marking another record-breaking day as trading resumed after the Christmas holiday.
The All Share Price Index (ASPI) closed up by 1.53%, gaining 232.13 points to settle at 15,400, while the S&P SL20 Index, reflecting the performance of more liquid stocks, rose by 1.48% or 67.15 points to close at 4,602.
The day’s turnover reached an impressive 7 billion rupees, underscoring strong investor activity.

- Sunshine Holdings: Closed at 94.50
- Sampath Bank: Closed at 112.75
