Jean Primrose Nathielsz, also known as Jean Anty, a social media activist and prominent figure of the Aragalaya movement has reportedly been assaulted by two individuals who broke into her home in Enderamulla.
Both she and her husband sustained injuries during the attack and have been admitted to the Ragama Teaching Hospital.
According to initial reports, the intruders forcibly entered her residence in the early hours, leaving the couple in need of urgent medical attention.
Nathielsz rose to prominence during the Aragalaya protests in Sri Lanka, particularly at the Galle Face site, where her vocal activism and organizational efforts played a significant role in the popular campaign to oust former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Recognized for her calls for transparency, accountability, and responsible governance, Nathielsz became a symbol of citizens’ resolve to challenge corruption.
