The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. Khalid bin Hamoud bin Nasser Al-Qahtani, held a cordial meeting with Member of Parliament and Leader of the Universal Power Party, Mr. Dilith Jayaweera, today (8th). The meeting, organized at the invitation of the Ambassador, emphasized the strengthening of diplomatic relations and economic cooperation between the two nations.
During the discussions, Mr. Jayaweera engaged in an in-depth conversation with the Ambassador, highlighting the strong ties that have existed between Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka. He commended the Saudi government for its continued support and expressed optimism about future collaborations that could bolster Sri Lanka’s economic recovery and development.
Mr. Jayaweera conveyed his gratitude to the Saudi government for their long-standing partnership with Sri Lanka and emphasized the importance of further enhancing economic and diplomatic engagements. He also noted the potential for expanded cooperation in trade, investment, and cultural exchanges.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Hassan Alaldeen, Media Secretary of the Universal Power Party, who acknowledged the significance of the dialogue in fostering mutual understanding and goodwill.
