A Grade 8 student from an international school in Wattala was hospitalized after falling from the fifth floor of the school building on Wednesday (January 15). Fortunately, the student escaped serious injuries due to landing on a fiber optic roof installed on a lower floor.
According to the Wattala Police, initial investigations suggest the student may have jumped from the fifth floor. Despite the fall, the student showed no visible injuries when admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
Police are continuing their inquiries into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the fall. More information will be provided as investigations progress.
