
A vehicle belonging to the Presidential Security Division (PSD) met with an accident early this morning (February 1) in Thalawa, veering off the road and crashing into an electric pole near Thalawa town.
Reports indicate that four individuals traveling in the vehicle sustained injuries due to the impact. The injured were initially rushed to Thalawa Hospital for immediate medical attention before being transferred to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the accident remains unclear, and authorities are yet to confirm whether adverse road conditions, mechanical failure, or driver error contributed to the incident. No official statement has been released regarding the condition of the injured personnel.
