Deputy Minister Chathuranga Abeysinghe stated that he remains at the ministry until 8-9 PM every day of the week.
He highlighted that, in the past, ministers did not follow such work routines, and in some instances, officials had to visit ministers’ residences just to obtain signatures on documents.
The deputy minister also mentioned that he was present at the ministry even on February 22nd, which was his birthday.
Furthermore, he emphasized his commitment to working alongside public servants to reform the old political culture and ensure that budgetary allocations are effectively invested for the betterment of the country.
He shared these views during a television program.
