Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon is expected to appear in court following an arrest order issued by the Matara Magistrate’s Court.
Despite the court’s directive to arrest and produce Tennakoon, police have so far been unable to locate him. Multiple teams were deployed to search suspected locations, but reports indicate that he was not found at any of them.
With uncertainty surrounding his whereabouts, questions remain as to whether Tennakoon will surrender voluntarily or continue to evade authorities.
