The National People’s Power (NPP) has announced Ms.Vraie Cally Balthazaar as its mayoral candidate for the Colombo Municipal Council in the upcoming Pradeshiya Sabha election.
The party’s General Secretary, Tilvin Silva, made the announcement during a public meeting in Colombo, emphasizing NPP’s commitment to increasing women’s representation in local government. He stated that the party will ensure 25% female representation in all Pradeshiya Sabhas contesting the election.
Silva further urged party supporters to maximize their efforts in securing victories in all contested Pradeshiya Sabhas, asserting that NPP is determined to bring change at the grassroots level.
