MP V. Radhakrishnan stated in Parliament today that Indian teachers should be allowed to teach in Tamil-medium schools in the plantation sector to address educational challenges.
“I have proposed bringing teachers from India to teach in plantation sector schools. However, at the time, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) opposed this move. I hope the current government will implement it immediately,” he said.
He also urged the government to collaborate with India to improve educational facilities and teaching standards in plantation sector schools.
