
The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Party has expressed its intention to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his upcoming visit to Sri Lanka.
At a media briefing in Jaffna today (13), the party’s acting president, C. V. K. Sivagnanam, stated this in response to a journalist’s question.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka in April, and Sivagnanam has requested an opportunity to meet him during the visit.
He emphasized that if granted the opportunity, he plans to raise several key issues with the Indian leader.
Among the topics of discussion, Sivagnanam highlighted the long-pending implementation of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, stressing its importance for addressing the concerns of the Tamil people in the North.
