Barely days after Sri Lanka Cricket was suspended by the International Cricket Council, its Asst.Secretary Chrishantha Kapuwatte was witnessed in a video doing it rounds on social media platforms dancing in celebratory mood to the famous Sinhala song “Aaderey hithenawa dekkama” in front of his SLC President Shammi Silva and a few others.
It is yet to be established though if this event was organized as a celebratory occasion soon after the Court of Appeal had granted a stay order, preventing the Minister of Sports’ appointed Interim Committee from taking over the reins from SLC or if it was at a private wedding held last year.
Nevertheless, soon after the Court of Appeal verdict was granted, Chrishantha Kapuwatte the star ‘Baila’ dancer in this video, provided a statement to the media saying, ” We are clean, that’s why we are back.”
