Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, is entangled in a legal battle following claims by influencer Ashley St. Clair that he fathered her child, reportedly his thirteenth.
St. Clair, 26, made headlines when she publicly announced on social media in February that she had given birth to Musk’s child, stating:
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause. I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

The alleged relationship between St. Clair and Musk reportedly began in May 2023, with St. Clair claiming she became pregnant after a romantic encounter with the tech mogul in January 2024. The child was born five months prior to her social media revelation.
St. Clair has now filed a lawsuit against Musk, seeking sole custody of the child and filing a paternity petition to legally establish Musk as the father. According to sources, Musk initially ignored the lawsuits but has since responded by hiring legal representation.
The billionaire’s legal team has successfully requested the court to seal documents related to the ongoing case, making them no longer publicly accessible, as reported by Mail Online. Prior to the documents being sealed, it was revealed that Musk has only met St. Clair’s child three times since the birth, with their first encounter occurring in September 2024.
Musk’s previous relationship was with singer Grimes, with whom he shares three children. They ended their relationship in 2022.
The legal dispute comes at a time when Musk is also facing tension with Grimes over their own son, X AE A-XII, who was recently taken by Musk to public events, including a visit to the White House to meet Donald Trump. Grimes has publicly criticized Musk for exposing their son to media attention, expressing frustration over his decision to bring X to high-profile events.
Attempts by media outlets to obtain comments from representatives of both Musk and St. Clair remain unanswered.
