National People’s Power MP Chandana Suriyaarachchi announced that new legislation will be introduced to confiscate assets acquired unlawfully by former rulers and individuals connected to their regimes.
According to the MP, this legislation will empower the government to legally seize such assets through court procedures.
He further stated that the relevant bill is set to be presented in Parliament on April 8.
