A sperm bank has been established at the Colombo Castle Hospital in Borella, marking the first facility of its kind within a hospital in Sri Lanka, according to the hospital director.
This initiative aims to assist infertile women in having children through donor sperm. The hospital emphasizes that the entire process will be conducted with the utmost confidentiality, ensuring privacy for both donors and recipients.
Potential sperm donors are invited to participate, subject to a few medical tests. The identity of donors will remain strictly confidential.
