For the eighth consecutive year, Finland has been declared the world’s happiest country, achieving the highest score of 7.736 out of 10. This recognition is largely attributed to Finland’s robust welfare system and quality of life.
Following Finland, Denmark ranks second, with Iceland, Sweden, and the Netherlands securing the third, fourth, and fifth positions respectively.
Sri Lanka’s further decline in the index highlights the ongoing challenges faced by the nation despite efforts aimed at improving the well-being of its citizens.
