Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made a bold claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin will die soon, suggesting that his death would bring an end to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
Zelensky made these comments during an interview with European journalists in Paris, as rumors continue to circulate about Putin’s health. His statement has attracted significant attention worldwide, given the ongoing conflict and the powerful status of the Russian leader.
The remarks were made within the context of peace talks held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the United States facilitated discussions aimed at finding a solution to the Ukrainian war. As part of the negotiations, Russia and Ukraine agreed to cease attacks on each other’s trade and energy routes in the Black Sea, establishing a partial ceasefire under U.S. mediation.
During his visit to Paris, Zelensky stressed the importance of the United States not assisting Putin in escaping global isolation. He warned that Putin’s ambition to remain in power could lead to a broader conflict, involving not only Ukraine but potentially the West as well.
Zelensky also called for unity between the United States and Europe in exerting pressure on Putin, asserting that the Russian leader is particularly fearful of the strength and cooperation between the European-American alliance.
