
Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is scheduled to undertake a state visit to Sri Lanka from April 4th to April 6th, 2025. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations through high-level discussions and formal agreements.
During his stay, Prime Minister Modi is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasooriya. The discussions are anticipated to cover a wide range of topics aimed at enhancing cooperation in economic, cultural, and security matters.
As part of his visit, Prime Minister Modi will also travel to Anuradhapura to pay homage to the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi. Additionally, he will inaugurate several projects implemented in Sri Lanka with financial and technical assistance from the Indian government.
A series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed between the two countries are expected to be exchanged during the visit, further consolidating the partnership between Sri Lanka and India.
Prime Minister Modi will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the Indian Minister of External Affairs, the National Security Advisor, the Foreign Secretary, and other senior officials of the Indian Government.
