The government is moving forward with plans to regulate private tutoring classes by implementing a formal registration process for private tutors. This initiative will be carried out under the authority of the proposed Teachers’ Council, which aims to bring consistency and accountability to the private education sector.
According to officials, relevant proposals are scheduled to be presented to the upcoming Cabinet meeting for approval. Once implemented, private tutors will be required to obtain a registration number from the Teachers’ Council, and those who fail to register will not be permitted to teach.
The proposed regulation aims to ensure that private tutoring classes operate under a standardized framework, thereby enhancing the quality of education provided to students. Prior to implementing these regulations, a comprehensive registration process will be conducted to formally recognize eligible private tutoring teachers.
