Sri Lankan weightlifter Ransilu Jayathilaka has secured the gold medal in the 120kg weight category at the 2025 Asia Pacific Powerlifting Championships held in Australia.
The event featured competitors from several countries, including Australia, Tonga, and Samoa. Jayathilaka’s impressive performance added another accolade to his career, marking his third gold medal at the World Powerlifting Asia Pacific Championships.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Jayathilaka expressed his pride in raising the Sri Lankan flag before a crowd of more than 4,000 spectators in Melbourne. He affirmed his commitment to never letting the Sri Lankan flag fall and reiterated his determination to bring further glory to the nation on the global stage.
