Colombo, Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Chairman Shammi Silva has been appointed to several influential committees of the International Cricket Council (ICC), including the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee, the Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee, and the Nominations Committee.
The appointment strengthens Silva’s influence within international cricket governance and comes shortly after his re-election as Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket for an unprecedented fourth consecutive term, unopposed.
In addition to his responsibilities at SLC, Silva also serves as Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), reinforcing his standing in both regional and global cricket administration. His current term as SLC Chairman is set to continue through 2027.
Silva’s inclusion in these critical ICC committees signals continued trust in his leadership and financial oversight as global cricket faces evolving commercial and operational challenges.
