President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has reportedly invited leaders of all opposition parties to attend an all-party conference aimed at discussing the recent U.S. tariffs and their potential impact on Sri Lanka’s economy.
According to an opposition MP, the meeting is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Presidential Secretariat.
The move follows requests made by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and several other opposition parliamentarians, urging the President to initiate a collective discussion on the economic repercussions of the new tariffs imposed by the United States.
However, as of now, there has been no official confirmation or statement issued by the Presidential Secretariat regarding the planned meeting.
